Well I guess it’s time to sit down and explain to all you random unfortunate stumblers what this website is all about. As the url of the website implies, it’s a shoujo manga review blog. As an avid reader for many years, there were many manga/anime blogs out there but there weren’t many that really focused on this particular genre where the shoujo manga category is so huge that any casual fan will trip trying to catch up. But during the New Year of 2008, I developed a horrible addiction. As one whose japanese knowledge was pretty shit poor, I found solace in reading shoujo manga. The character interactions were ridiculously easy, armed with a dictionary I found myself laughing at what a piece of cake it was. And being one who often purchased manga in english for the ease factor (and with a huge shoujo dominance in that category too). My room was and still is literally exploding from my obsession with shoujo manga.
So basically this website will cover books of the shoujo series, half probably of the more adult josei/ladies genre and ocassionally BL titles. I will write the romanized version of the title and its author in the title, the japanese counterpart will appear after in the first line of the post – where you can copy and paste to search in other online book sellers. I will eventually get around to writing a post on how I get ahold of manga though currently it’s through my good friend bk1.jp (in Japanese) that does the job or a local japanese manga/books importer kangakanga (located in Melbourne, Australia – orders in anything you want and posts all over Australia). Though generally this website is all about spreading the love for your favourite artist!
Anyway, since that’s all done, hoping to keep this updated regularly. If not, it’s probably because I’ve got a new psp game.
